"Aged"
Once I roamed these palace halls
As I sought to please the old king
With my shepherd's dance and song
Thinking I would dwell forever in my youth
But I am king now and aging
I see now that I was so wrong
Friend and foe both covet my throne
And they plot my very demise
For being aged beyond my prime
I am secretly despised
These days I so rarely smile
But still they come to try
And roam my palace halls
As they seek to please an old king
I wear my face and heart of stone
While they dance and sing
Thinking they will dwell forever in their youth
But inside the lining of this aged king
I smile knowing they are so wrong
