"Paregoric"

Just a tiny sailboat,
Gliding across your vast ocean...
Not nearly as significant
As I dare to dream I might be.
Immersed in the fantasy of you,
Marinating my heart in your being,
Until I am drunk with you...
The euphoria of my drowning in you.

No wine from any vineyard on earth
Could intoxicate me the way you do.
Nor could any gourmet feast be
As fantastic as the banquet of your beauty -
That beauty which capsizes my sailboat.
So that I sink into your ocean,
Willingly drowning in you,
My addiction releasing me to bliss.
