Let us go home together now
End this mad hiatus we have taken
We have been interred by the confusion
Take me home with you now
Where happiness dwelled with us
Let these lonely journeys end
Take me home where we belong
Where the ivy climbs the trellis
And the sun smiles on the back porch
Take me home before the Angelus tolls
Through the vineyards and the orchards
And where happiness had a warm bed
Let us go home to love's shrine
Where life was clearly painted
On the faces of our love's fruit
