Two hearts burning like candles
Molten love dripping to become the mortar
Cementing two hearts as one
Bonding two kindred souls
Blessed be this union for always
Let neither change in the direction of the winds
Nor the careless whispers all around
Extinguish the flame of this love
Either deliberately or unwittingly
Let not impediments as doubt, suspicion
Or selfishness set up any barricade
To isolate or to suppress
Let not morning sun or full moon
Ever shed unfavorable light on this kinship
Never let this be a thing of regret or sorrow
And let no tears be shed except those of joy
For a true bond of love
Should never become bondage
And ties that bind should never
Become chains to unhappiness
