Thickening vines
Growing on the trellis
Outside the front door
Like the rich history,
Entwining our hearts,
Climbing into our souls
Strong and healthy vines -
Blossoming in the Spring,
Lasting through Summer,
Feigning dying in Autumn,
Laying dormant in Winter,
Until Spring returns again
Heart vines feigned death
In the Autumn of our love
Sleeping through Winter
Hibernating like the vines
To awaken again in Spring
Richer, stronger than ever©2001 poetheart
