I find Dona Lou's new poem to be very different from her usual style. - poetheart 06/14/02
I know not now where I will go
Nor know I where the wind will blow
Or when, but then I never knew
From the first time my change-winds blew
Great changes, subtle at the first
Then stronger, as the heavens burst
And raindrops fell, in great profusion
Confusion reigned, of noise and worry
Till it raged on, in its great hurry
To be somewhere else, and thus it passed
And silence followed, peace at last
All griefs, the storms of life, rage on
They come and go till life is done
And while they rage, it seems forever
But, somehow, that is never true
They come and go, just passing through
(The same is true of Me and You)
I know not what the end will be
What more of grief and pain I'll see
Or if my happiness be near
Or if it never will appear
So many heartaches already I forgot
Will I remember this one? I know not.
