Silence is a statement
Impenetrable and deep
A dark revelation
In shadowed dreams
And restless sleep
Hope matters little
Can't ease this hollow pain
Till an unspoken answer
Be whispered once again
It matters not that life's not fair
Justice and Truth do not live here
Truth relinquishes nothing
Vanquishes not one foe
Truth says, "I told you so"
Which makes no difference now
Anyhow
