When my friend Dona Lou send me this poem the other day (which happened to be a beautiful Spring day) I was so inspired by it. It was a perfect complement to the day. - poetheart 04/09/02
A warm breeze touches trees
The sun sends life into the earth
Flowers venture forth once more
Birds are busily constructing
Underneath the eaves, a nest
Where soon will rest and soon
Will bless my waking hours
Happily chirping babies
Gone for a while the icy winds
That kept my bundled spirit locked away
Now children can again go out to play
Where everything is new and clean
Green pastoral scene serene
Rains have cleansed the earth and sky
And coaxed the buttercup awake
Winter's snow forgotten and forsaken
Only a dim memory, as all around I see
Rejuvenation, resurrection, perfection
Every tiny bud, each greening leaf
Each day some new life brought forth
A reminder of the One still in control
What role has He who made it all?
He whispers to my soul, "See what I can do?
I can make everything brand new
Life sleeps beneath the fertile soil
And without toil, the flowers bud
And bloom, and there is room for all
My creatures, great and small."by Dona Lou Pearson
