How warm, how soft,
How wonderfully sweet!
I close my eyes and remember
The feeling when our lips meet
My heart pounds with emotion
And then my heart stands still
The world stops for an instant
Oh, I will remember forever until
The next kiss, this one even better
This one takes my breath away…
And every atom of my being
Is singing with passion for you
I want it to go on forever
To keep our lips conjoined
And loving arms entwined
I just want more of this, it's true…
To be this near, my dear, to you
What magic there is in your kiss!
What satisfying bliss…
And then…it's simply over
We part, we smile, we say
Our wistful little goodbyes…
Why must we say goodbye?
(And tell me this…did I only dream
that kiss?)by Dona Lou Pearson
