This new poem by my friend Dona Lou Pearson demonstrates her ability to express her images clearly and concisely. I like this one very much. - poetheart 02/11/02
Heartbeat of Gaia,
Mother Earth
Roaring, pounding surf
Gaia’s tears fall as rain
Inevitable journey back again
Water cycles, clouds to sea
Perpetual, timeless, endlessly
Rivulets, rivers, arterial life-blood
Trickling stream, engulfing flood
Ending as once it all began
Lovingly, gently, rolling waves
Flow in to kiss the sandby Dona Lou Pearson
