There are so many things that I want for you
Love, safety, and happiness
I want you to laugh more
And worry less
I want you to have good days
With bad days few and far between
I want you to know
That its never as bad as it seems
I want you to know that tomorrow
Is always another day
And we always have chances
To try things a different way
I want you to know
That with me you always have a friend
I promise I’ll listen to what you have to say
And try my best to understand
I want to give you someone to come to
When you’re feeling weary and alone
I’ll try my best to give you comfort,
And a sense of home
I want you to know that no matter what happens
Or how we may change
I’ll be here for you always
And my love and trust for you will always stay the same
