I enthusiastically welcome Jason Visconti to my website with this first poem on poetheart.com. Jason is 27 years old, has been writing poetry since he was 15, is from New York where he has attended poetry workshops and is constantly trying to improve his imagery. Jason tells me that poetry is his "passion" and suspects it always will be. - poetheart 10/02/01
I sleep in a large room
to keep my skeletons still.
They slumber at unrest,
they dial frantic hellos
but my body is surrounded
by a white envelope of love
they lock their jaws
as if the news was rough.
Their innocent eyes shine
where it is black and deepest,
like lava.
They don't know the language of love.
They don't want to know.
Their beds are permanent stone.
They lay straight and face the upper heavens.by Jason Visconti
