"Smart Guys and Dumb Guys"
( or … "What, me worry?")

Another new poem from Eunice's latest submissions...  - poetheart 05/12/03

Endowed with intelligence
Smart from the cradle
Lightning fast neurons
A big blob of playdough

One guy's a genius
The other's a Cretin
The reason they're different
Not clearly certain

If you sectioned their brains
They're both gobs of fat
Electromagnetic
Blobs in a vat

Their heads are both screwed-on
That's not really honest
The smart guy's A. Newman
The dumb guy's A. Donis

The smart guy wins prizes
Like Pulitzer-Nobel
The slow guy just struggles
To read books or just spell

The dumb guy has girlfriends
Draws babes with a glance
The smart guy's a book worm
On dates he can't dance

The dumb guy is happy
Too stupid to notice
The smart guy's a flasher
Arrested in Dallas
