Forever young is what we feel
Until youth fades and time reveals
The inner core of all our being.
Should the mirror tell the awful truth
That beauty fades and so does youth
Or should it reveal there is something more?
More knowledge, more grief, more love, more belief,
More wisdom, more wit and social grace
More than just a pretty face?
Forever young we all should be
Beautiful for all eternity!
But, forever will never, ever be...
"Something more" is what we all should see
Will we ever come to realize
True beauty is seen without the eyes?
