Patty created this new poem 02/13/03 and she submitted it just last week. I liked it very much so here it is. - poetheart 04/19/03
You, that knew each crevice
And each channel of my mind
Tugged upon my heart strings
Making me respond, in kind.
You, that refreshed like springtime,
The winter of my discontent;
Allowing me to shower you
Whenever you came and went.
You, the one thing I was missing
In a life so cluttered and confused,
Please, please, never leave me
Feeling spent and used.
You, that loves my caring,
That treasures what we're sharing,
Shall forevermore live in me.
You, my kindred spirit,
Beat the drum that sets me free.
