by Dona Lou Pearson
Romantic light of flickering flames
Fragrance doubly sweet
Evokes passion's memory
Wherein we often meet
Not so, the sad reality
As in that old refrain :
East is East, and can't be West
And never meet the twain
But our two worlds have mingled
And thus defied the Never
Our love suspended time
And disbelief forever
