"Cry For You"

This beautiful poem was written by Cristy Ramirez for her grandfather who was ill. Cristy, who is a frequent visitor to my website, is also the author of "My Angel" which I posted just last month. - poetheart 07/16/01

I would cry a sky full of water,
So you could see my tears of rain.
To comfort you and wash away,
All of your heartache and your pain.
I would cry for you a lake,
So quiet and so great,
If you would look upon this lake
And feel not afraid.
I will cry for you a stream,
Of water running slow and deep.
It would calm and soothe you
Until you fell asleep.
I would cry a river,
Full of curves and bends.
This river would have no beginning,
Nor would it have an end.
An ocean full of tears,
I will cry for you tonight.
If you will put your ship to sea,
Sail home, and say goodbye.
