This is a song written by Matthew D. Ward.  Of this song he says: "I wrote a song last year or the year before called "You Can Hear It".  It has a great melody which I have been unable to forget. Just lost her mommy and don't know why

You can hear the pain in a child's voice
As he speaks of his only choice
To go into the 'blue' on his own
The mother might know, and the father don't care
Doesn't know what his son is doin' up there
But he will, he will

You can hear the rattle of the chain
As the policeman led him away...
He hadn't planned it this way...
