Then
I can hold your hand
look in your eyes
and be able to understand
know what you are to say
even before you speak
even feel your heart
before it starts to beat
But now
as I hold your hands
I feel nothing but coldness
as I look in your eyes
they seem distant and senseless
as I try to read your mind
your thoughts I can't begin to comprehend
as I try to feel your heart's beat
it reverberates nothing but pretense
I won't start to ask questions
my mind bears no confusion
for every logic, every reason in this I knew
I just wish to hear it straight from you
I can take anything from you
but silence and lies
I can bear anything so long as you try
for it's evident, it's no longer me
I see in your eyes
but someone who loves you as much as I
I'm not foolish as to make you stay
for I see in you a tortured pain
Give me a chance and to you I will show
that I love you...
so much I'm willing
to let you go
