-to that emptiness that is a lone star in the nighttime crown
of jewels....
-for the solitary tree gracing a countryside hill on a warm
sunny afternoon....
-the lonely flower otherwise surrounded by the silence of
a forgotten flower bed....
-a drifting cloud on a moonlit night otherwise obscuring the
the evening sun....
-the call of an empty heart in search of it's mate in need of
the love that is there....
-the sight of a bent willow gently touching the blades of grass
that perhaps you walked on....
-the desperate, whispered sounds of a good-bye on the phone that
signals another empty day....
-an internal ache that is the constant reminder that 1 and 1 is not 2
but 1....
-a solo snowflake echoing the chill of an afternoon that otherwise
a fire would warm....
-missing you, the worst part of every day that is the calling card
of love....
